Menfulness will be holding an event for Trust staff at Scarborough Hospital on Thursday 11th December 📣

They have been given NHS funding to expand into Scarborough and very soon will have a number of weekly and monthly events taking place in the Scarborough region (see below), all under the Menfulness banner with an aim to encourage men to join the community, speak about their issues, support each other and socialise in a healthy environment 🙌

➡️ Walk and Talk
➡️ Climbing Club
➡️ Spa sessions
➡️ With more to come including Ju Jitsu, Yoga and others

"Menfulness is an award winning men’s mental health charity based in York. We are very excited about the Scarborough expansion; there’s lots of exciting things going on at present for us (we were mentioned during Prime Minister’s Questions today!)"

Menfulness will be doing the following on the 11th December:

A one-hour session in the Scarborough Hospital lecture theatre between 0930 and 1030, with presentations from myself, our CEO Jack Woodhams and Ben Redfern (Scarborough Coordinator). We will discuss what Menfulness is, basics on how to support colleagues in need, and details on our Scarborough activities. The Trust staff welfare team will be on hand as well.
Q and A / meet and greet afterwards to explore opportunities on how we can work closely with the Trust going forward.

Staff Health and Wellbeing event 💙

Men’s Health Day and Movember - November 2025

November 19th marks International Men's Day - a day dedicated to celebrating the positive influence of men, their contributions to society, and their roles as fathers, mentors, and leaders.

The Staff Health and Wellbeing Team supported by Andy’s Man Club & Menfulness will be at the below venues to offer you support, signposting and further information during the below dates and times:

• Wednesday 19th November, 10am – 2pm, Pats Place, Scarborough Hospital

• Thursday 20th November, 10am – 2pm, The Hub, York Hospital

ANDYSMANCLUB - are a men’s su***de prevention charity, offering free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online. We want to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and help men through the power of conversation.

MENFULNESS - they bring men together to socialise, exercise, enjoy themselves, talk and let off steam in a non-judgmental, friendly and supportive environment. These are all essential for physical and mental wellbeing.
