Eddie was back for his regular mole screenings after having 2 skin cancers removed in clinic last year.
A new spot had been spotted during his mole screen by our advanced nurse practitioner and skin cancer expert Rachael.
It was removed and sent to histology and came back as a kericathoma these mimic a type of skin cancer called squamous cell carcinoma so it is inportant to remove and get these tested by histology.
This highlights the importance of regular screening, our skin changes constantly.
