Due to high levels of pressure on today's appointments, Friday 19th December 2025, we are only able to offer appointments to our most vulnerable patients.
Please refer to the NHS 111 website before submitting a request for an urgent appointment.
Why might YMG not have enough appointments some days?
Sometimes, there are more people needing appointments than we can safely provide. This can happen for two main reasons:
Increased demand – For example, during certain times of the year or when there are lots of viral infections going around.
Fewer appointments available – This is usually because some of our staff are ill and unable to work.
When we have limited appointments, we’ll let you know through our phone lines, website, and social media.
We only do this when absolutely necessary.
We share this information because you might be asked to contact 111 for help. This way, we can use the limited appointments we have for those who need them the most.
