Hi everyone! 🎉

We are looking for participants for a research study we are conducting! 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

The study aims to investigate whether pregnant women 🤰 make a different response to air pollution compared to non-pregnant women 👩 and men 👨

We require non-smoking/non-vaping pregnant female volunteers at any stage of pregnancy 🤰 aged 18+ years. Participants will be required to tell us a bit about themselves and their health and then donate a few samples of their choosing. This could include a nasal swab, some saliva, some exhaled breath, a skin sample collected with a sticking plaster, urine, and a few drops of blood from a finger prick. 🩸 Which ones you donate is up to you. This would be carried out at Swansea University Singleton campus. 🎓 Free parking is available and you will receive a £10 voucher for your participation.

Please could you pass on this information to anyone you think might be interested and if you have any questions 💭 or require further information, please contact us via the website below 💬 or email immunology-studies@swansea.ac.uk

Here is an article by us on why research into the link between endometriosis and the immune system is necessary.

If you'd like to participate in one of our studies looking for a biomarker and the underlying immunology of endometriosis, please drop us a message or email us at immunology-studies@swansea.ac.uk

Further exploring this connection could potentially lead to better treatment of the condition.
