Happy belated Spring Equinox...for yesterday & what a beautiful day it was & tye sun is out again today. ..the days will now be getting longer & lighter & hopefully continue to be brighter!
In the Chinese System of the Five Elements, the Spring season is correlated with the element wood, which governs the gall bladder & liver.
The nature of the wood element & Spring is described as beginning or birth, it creates our mental clarity & our ability to focus, plan & make decisions.
The emotion related to liver is anger and the gall bladder, irritability, so an imbalance may show an excess or a repression in these traits. Its important to express emotions, but to find healthy ways of doing so.
Diet can also help support the liver and gall bladder and reduce these emotions. Avoiding fatty and rich foods at this time can help & including cleansing foods and drinks such as apples, cider vinegar, lemon juice & herbs like milk thistle, dandelion & liquorice will also support the liver.
Castor oil packing on the liver is also a very helpful tool. If you'd like to find out more about how diet & naturopathic thechniques can help with the seasonal change, contact me to book a naturopathy nutrition & kinesiology session.
We are fully booked for our Spring Equinox soundbath this Sunday...
April dates will be coming soon... Have a beautiful weekend everyone 💕🌸🙏
