I’ve had an amazing journey since opening Ystradgynlais chiropractic clinic in 2017 - I’ve felt very lucky to have been welcomed to the community and to have provided a variety of complimentary services including the veg boxes and shop. I’m proud to announce that my journey is now continuing but in a different direction as I have been accepted to study graduate entry medicine at Swansea University.

Taking a career change from a role that I have loved has been a difficult decision. However I feel like the only way to make a difference to the current situation in our national health service is to be part of it. I feel I can offer a lot to the NHS and hope I can continue to serve our community in the future.

I hope to continue providing some chiropractic services while studying, however due to the intensity of the condensed course, I will not be able to confirm what this will look like until I begin studying in September.

I will be taking some time off in July, but will be back open to my patients in August before the September start date in Swansea. From now on I will only be taking on new patients that I feel I can help in a short time frame, particularly given the time I have booked off in July.

To all my current patients - your treatment and health continues to be a priority for me and I will make sure any transition will be smooth and that your care will not be affected. We can discuss this when I see you in clinic next time.

Thank you so much for your support and friendship over the past seven years.

Jake has just graduated with a Masters of Science in Sport, Health and Exercise Science to add to his repertoire as a Doctor of Chiropractic.

If you have visited the clinic in recent years you will have noticed Jake's incorporation of our exercise rehab gym into our clinic room.

Jake is a firm believer in the importance of exercise when it comes to health and the studies he undertook during his latest Masters have enhanced his knowledge and skill in this area.

We would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas from everyone at Ystradgynlais Chiropractic ✨

We wanted to share the 'Twelve Stretches of Christmas' with you too! 🎅

With the cold weather and rain, it’s hard to stay active over the Christmas period. Why not try doing some of these twelve stretches a few times a day? Try to prioritise movement, particularly when you're stuck in the house surrounded by lovely food!

There is no magic number but try holding each stretch for around 10-20 seconds repeating a few times for each stretch. Play around with the amount and the length of holds to suit you best.

A stretch can feel like a mild pull in the muscles which is perfectly normal. However if doing any of these stretches causes pain or discomfort, try reducing the distance to a manageable level or stop and check with your doctor or therapist if it’s best to carry on.

It has been a long time since we have posted and I would like to apologise for our absence.

As many of you know we have been running the chiropractic clinic on reduced hours and we are currently open Monday, Tuesday and Friday. This is because our chiropractor Jake has been extremely busy completing his MSc in Sport, exercise and health science and also teaching part time within the chiropractic department.

Jake has finally completed his MSc (although won’t receive his result until November) and he would like to thank everyone for their patience and to those who have continued to support the clinic throughout.

As some may have seen, the clinic building is up for sale. We are still open and we will be making sure that in the future Jake will continue to practice in the town (we are just hoping to downsize a little).

SOULbeing holistics will be based upstairs at Ystradgynlais Chiropractic from August ✨

Exciting Announcement….

SOULbeing holistics is moving premises...we are teaming up with Ystradgynlais Real Health !!

We will have a new therapy room there from August, upstairs from Jake who is a fantastic chiropractor…

It will be an exciting new venture, where we can provide multiple therapies under one roof…

We will be moving our health & wellbeing products into the shop there too, so we can provide a centre for all things wellness in the heart of Ystradgynlais…

Crystals will only be available online & at markets stalls & fayres, starting with another exciting collaboration with the new Chameleon markets.

Its been such a wonderful journey having opened this business nearly 2 years ago! & we have to thanks all our wonderful clients and customers who have supported us along the way, we really couldn’t have done it without you!

But it’s time for some change, and collaboration with local businesses is the best way to keep independent business & local community thriving…
It's all very exciting & we can't wait to move in!

There will also be an exciting new business moving into our old space! 😊 & We look forward to seeing all our lovely clients, customers & friends at the new place!

We will post more info soon as to when we move, but our last day at the shop will be sat 29th so please come visit us between 10am and 2pm, we will have big SALES on our crystals & other items too!!!

Jake is back in clinic today after playing in the European Hockey Federation: Trophy II Competition in Belfast 🏑

We will be closed this coming Friday for a family funeral.
