The Grenada Food Forest

The Grenada Food Forest health, wealth, food, environment etc. Since they would be our future leaders it is prudent for them to learn this culture now.

The Grenada Food Forest is a project that seeks to promote food sovereignty and self sufficiency through holistic agriculture, survival skills and spirituality. The Grenada Food Forest is a project that seeks to rekindle the kindle interest in agriculture on the island from a national perspective right down to the level of the individual. I hope to change the face of agriculture from the labor intensive back breaker of our recent ancestors to a thing that can be practiced smartly to yield great benefits e.g. I would further like to show how agriculture can increase the the GDP of our country and in that regard try to get the young people on board. Gardening also increases our spiritual awareness as it puts us in touch with mother nature, loving her, taking care of her and becoming one with her.

The secret to growing seasoning peppers is not a secret. Choose good plant genetics. I get mine from farmers with good strains. Choose fertile ground or amend soil fertility. Irrigate and w**d as is required. My area is getting good rainfall currently so I don't have to irrigate but I have to w**d often. The last step is to enjoy the fruits of you labor. Get out there and get growing

I have learned many things from gardening, like patience, self belief, trusting the process and true love.
When I plant this pineapple I know that it is going to take at least in the vicinity of a year before it bears fruit. I have to patiently wait and trust the process. I cannot force anything.
I have to nurture this plant for as long as it would take and that requires love. If I do not love this I will fret and not give this plant the care it needs. I have to invest time and sometimes even money. And because I believe that if I take care of this plant, without a shadow of a doubt I will get a delicious fruit, I pour my all into it.
Building success is not different from planting a pineapple plant. You have to appreciate that everything takes time be patient and trust the same. Believe in yourself and your ability to succeed beyond a shadow of a doubt. And let your mission be guided by undying love. Love could make you do anything.

Very delicious. It's like a mildly hot bell pepper. Thus far I've used it in steamed fish, stir fry and cheese sandwich. It's consistently great tasting.
