Today Saturday, March 21, 2026, Grenada joins the global community in observing World Down Syndrome Day under the theme “Together Against Loneliness.” This theme calls attention to the reality that many individuals with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities often face isolation, which can affect both emotional and physical health.
The Ministry of Health proudly stands in solidarity with this movement, reaffirming our commitment to inclusivity, compassion, and equal care. We recognize that every citizen deserves to belong, to be supported, and to thrive. As we forge ahead with our health initiatives, we pledge that persons with Down syndrome and their families will not be left behind.
World Down Syndrome Day is not only a celebration of diversity but also a reminder that health and dignity must be universal. Together, we can break barriers, strengthen community bonds, and ensure that Grenada continues to champion health for all.
