Sickle Cell Disease is a serious inherited blood disorder. In Grenada, it’s estimated to affect approximately 1 in every 160 people.

Kereis Julien has lived with full-blown Sickle Cell his entire life. In addition to chronic pain from the condition itself, he has suffered painful leg ulcers from injuries that make every day a challenge.

On his doctor’s recommendation, Kereis began Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) at SAMS Grenada to help manage his pain and support healing. He has reported that the sessions are making a real difference — reducing his pain and helping him live a more manageable, more comfortable life.
