Paris January 2026 - PhytoMed Honey receives platinum and gold quality awards and one gold award for infused honey at the Paris International Honey Awards.

The PIHA attracts honey from all over the world and judged by an expert panel of honey sensory experts and sommeliers.

The purpose of the competition is to inform honey-growers, honey producers, beekeepers, processors and retailers, who distribute their standardized products legally, to preserve and ameliorate the quality of their branded products by promoting high-quality honey products in every aspect of the spectrum of its use and consumption.

We submitted three honeys to the competition and each one won an award. We received a platinum award for our Kakoli Honey and a gold award for our coffee blossom honey.

Our Resident Scientist Dr Valma Jessamy developed a special chocolate infused honey and we are beyond thrilled to have received a gold award for her innovation.

May 26, the day the honeybees came was an extraordinary one for us. We got to share our stories and the best honey in the world paired with the best chocolate in the world.
Our certified honey sommelier and sensory expert Dr Valma Jessamy who is also a certified chocolate and cacao taster, hosted a honey chocolate tasting at the honey shop.

She shared her in depth knowledge on cacao clonal varietals from Jessamine Eden Wellness Farms used to make the award winning chocolate . Guest were led on an expertly crafted sensory experience to understand how seasons, fermentation and roasting can give rise to divine flavors. Blind tasting compared Eden chocolate to other chocolate from Grenada and around the region and Eden won each time.

This is an experience every chocolate lover must have
