3 things to do on Sunday that’ll set you up for the week ⬇️

1️⃣ Get out your calendar, and schedule in your workouts, yoga practices, walks, and other activity & self-care for the week 🗓️

2️⃣ Plan out what you’re going to eat - at least for breakfast & lunch, and at least for Monday-Wednesday (Pro tip: It can be the same every day!) 🍽️

3️⃣ Choose one night that you’ll disconnect early. Plan to turn your screens off, put your devices away, and do something relaxing before bed - even if it’s only for 15 minutes 😌

What’s “in” and what’s “out” for 2026 - at least according to me!

🍽️ Food:

Out: Cutting out carbs
In: Knowing that carbs are energy

Out: Eating as little as possible
In: Fueling your body with food

Out: Fasting & cleanses
In: A balanced & nourishing diet

Out: Loading up on supplements
In: Focusing on real food

🏋️‍♀️ Exercise:

Out: Always using the same weights
In: Increasing weight over time

Out: Only doing yoga
In: Complementing it with strength & cardio

Out: Doing cardio every day
In: Balancing cardio & strength

Out: Lifting for 2 sets of 12
In: Lifting until you’re close to failure

🧠 Mindset:

Out: Giving up after one setback
In: Making adjustments & moving forward

Out: Starting over every Monday
In: Doing what you can, whenever you can

Out: Another extreme “shred”
In: Sustainable habits for life

Out: Panicking about the scale
In: Knowing that weight will always fluctuate

What I want to cultivate in 2026 ⬇️

🩵 Focused work + focused rest/play - I guess this is the grown-up version of what we called “work hard, play hard” in college? 😂 I wasn’t good at it then and I’m not now, but it’s one of the top things I’m trying to change this year, in part because it's so important for fending off burnout.

🩵 Connection, online + in-person - The older we get, the more time and effort it seems to take to maintain relationships, but it’s never not worth it. I was lucky to meet a lot of great people last year, to travel with friends multiple times, to continue teaching online yoga to an amazing group, and to stay in touch with a lot of friends all year long. Here’s to more of that in 2026. 💞

🩵 A balance between staying informed & protecting my peace - Like many of you I’m sure, I want to follow the news all the time, but I also cannot follow the news all the time. 😣 I’m still looking for a balance I can feel good about.

🩵 Routine (my never-ending struggle!) - No surprise, moving around so much makes it hard to maintain a consistent schedule. 😜 But I do my best to keep some semblance of the same routine, no matter where we’re at. And I’ll be working to double-down on that in 2026.

🩵 More time in nature, on trails & on the water - I never don’t feel better after spending time outside, and finding that joy is more important these days than ever. Ryan & I are already planning some fun Montana winter adventures for next month. ❄️

Resolutions for women who want to get stronger, feel better, and improve their health & well-being in 2026 ⬇

🎉 Find a way to make being more active part of your lifestyle (even if it’s only a 10% change)
🎉 Find a type of exercise that makes you feel good
🎉 Try the things you’ve “always meant to start doing”
🎉 Worry less about how you look when trying new things
🎉 Find a yoga or fitness community that’s a good fit for you (IRL or online!)
🎉 Feel more comfortable in the gym or studio

It may take some experimenting, but it’s worth it!

These resolutions work by changing your mindset, building confidence, and helping you get out of your own way - all of which will make the work of gaining muscle, losing weight, or getting healthier much easier 🙌

What does “getting back on track” look like for you?

How is this January going to be different from last January?

Changing behaviors or habits takes some intention and planning to be successful. So make a plan that’s more specific than “I’m going to start eating better” and more realistic than “I’m going to start going to the gym every day.”

Like everything I teach, you do NOT need to do any of these things at 100% for them to make a big difference:

1️⃣ Pack your own food

Maybe you pack one meal and eat one out, or buy lunch on the road but pack your own snacks. Bonus: The more food you bring, the more money you’ll save.

2️⃣ Do at least a bit of yoga or stretching

If you have 1 minute, do 1 minute. If you have 5 minutes, do 5 minutes. Before and/or after your flight, drive, or train ride.

3️⃣ Stay mostly offline

Travel days are stressful, tiring, and anxiety-inducing. Being chronically online is stressful, tiring, and anxiety-inducing. Give yourself the gift of a digital detox (or a partial one) on your travel day.

4️⃣ Prioritize getting good sleep the night before & after

Easier said than done, especially if you’re dealing with a time difference or flying at an inconvenient time. But shutting off your screens as early as possible will help, and so will spending just a few minutes doing something relaxing before bed.

5️⃣ Get in as many steps as possible

Maybe it’s 2,000, maybe it’s 7,000, maybe it’s 12,000. Walk around the airport or train station or rest area. Go for a walk at the beginning and/or end of the day, even if it’s just 5 or 10 minutes.

I hope you make it to your destination safely, and feeling at least a little bit less frazzled 🩵

➡️ How did you know it was the right plan for you?

And I bet the answer is “Well I didn’t really, but it seemed like a good plan.”

Right?

That means the problem wasn’t you or your motivation.

It was that you’ve never had a plan that was actually made for YOU. One that was tailored to your lifestyle, experience, and goals. That was actually set up to help you succeed. No wonder you couldn’t stick to something that wasn’t made for you!
