HRH Prince Davit of Georgia at the Royal Gala Dinner of the Clans of Ireland, held in the historic Cathedral Crypt of Dublin on 14 September 2013.

His Royal Highness was introduced to Lords, Ladies, Ambassadors, Clan Chiefs, military officers, and leading figures of Irish society, and was especially moved by the presence of a Georgian delegation led by Father David Lonergan of the Georgian Orthodox Parish in Dublin.

Hosted by the Order of Merit of the Clans of Ireland under the patronage of H.E. President Michael D. Higgins, the evening featured a traditional toast and the presentation of a unique gift to Prince Davit: a clock crafted from 5,000-year-old Irish bog oak. The Prince, in turn, invited all present to toast His Holiness and Beatitude Patriarch Ilia II of Georgia.

GEORGIA
