JOIN A TOUR OF THE NEW CONNAUGHT CARE HOME EXTENSION!

There are some spaces remaining if you want to join one of the three tours of the new Connaught Care Home extension on Wednesday (July 9th).

This is the first opportunity for local people to see this amazing new building before it opens formally.

Tour start times are 10.30 am, 2.30 pm and 6 pm.

There’s more availability on the 6 pm tour than the daytime ones.

May! What a busy month!
•All things VE day:
Thank you el presidente for a fabulous afternoon of teas, cakes and music. A Fantastic time was had by all!

We journeyed down to 'Operation Merit' a very moving reenactment, which led to many a conversation about the importance of remembrance.

•An afternoon of all things foraging:
An interesting and informative talk led by Danielle Marie, where residents trialed out their senses trying freshly picked, local Alderney sourced foraged foods

• When we're not eating fresh foraged foods, some of our residents are off galavanting at the Chippy

• Smoothie making
Strawberry and banana or pineapple and mango?

• Nails nails nails!
With our Saturday morning pamper session

•Who has time to sit back and relax when we have Chair Yoga!

No time for rest with June upon us!

What a fun packed week as the sun shined. We loved,
- Outdoor and indoor sports (what a competitive bunch we have)
- Crazy hat day (Courtesy of Barbara Benfield)
- fun and games at the Island Hall with Age Concern) where 13 Connaught residents really enjoyed the Bingo plus the cake and prizes
- A fun Road trip round the Island.
Followed by a friendly visit by our local Fire Brigade

The Connaught would like to say a big thank you to Braye Beach, Barbara Benfield and all of the lovely ladies at Age Concern for a fantastic Easter party. It was thoroughly enjoyed by our residents!
