It’s not chiropractic…..but it is health!!
We don’t need this stuff.
Plant some camomile lawn or thyme to fill the gaps that ‘weeds’ like. Now you have beautiful spaces with life and fragrance. 🌱🌿🐞
And no poison in our waterworks

The evidence against the use of glyphosate keeps mounting, yet it’s still legally drenching our food supply. I try to be as good as I can about eating organic, high-quality food, and my glyphosate test revealed I was still in the 50th percentile. Studies have linked glyphosate to cancer, endocrine disruption, infertility, immune dysfunction, liver and kidney damage, and disruption of the microbiome. And not only is glyphosate harming human health and the health of our future generations, it’s also destroying our ecosystems.⁣

I dove into all-things glyphosate with Stephanie Seneff on a recent episode of The Doctor’s Farmacy. You can find the episode titled, "The Harmful Effects of Weedkiller (Glyphosate) On Our Health And Our Future," on your favorite podcast app.

We've been wrong many times before. Sometimes it helps to admit that.

This article aims to alert the medical community and public health authorities to accumulating evidence on health benefits from sun exposure, which suggests that insufficient sun exposure is a significant public health problem.

Studies in the past decade indicate that insufficient sun exposure may be responsible for 340,000 deaths in the United States and 480,000 deaths in Europe per year, and an increased incidence of breast cancer, colorectal cancer, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, autism, asthma, type 1 diabetes and myopia. Vitamin D has long been considered the principal mediator of beneficial effects of sun exposure. However, oral vitamin D supplementation has not been convincingly shown to prevent the above conditions; thus, serum 25(OH)D as an indicator of vitamin D status may be a proxy for and not a mediator of beneficial effects of sun exposure.

New candidate mechanisms include the release of nitric oxide from the skin and direct effects of ultraviolet radiation (UVR) on peripheral blood cells. Collectively, this evidence indicates it would be wise for people living outside the tropics to ensure they expose their skin sufficiently to the sun.

So, does it sound to you like we were wrong about sun exposure?

Another elephant.
Human health is achieved by living in ways consistent with how humans are designed to live.
Stray from that and you stray from health.

Eight in ten (82%) critically ill COVID-19 patients have low to undetectable vitamin C levels, reports a study in Spain measuring vitamin C levels in intensive care patients in their hospital in Barcelona; published today in the Nutrition Journal.

18% had undetectable levels – as seen in scurvy.
82% had either low or undetectable levels.
Only 18%, less than two in ten, had normal levels.

The researchers conclude “in our cohort of patients with COVID-19-associated ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome), vitamin C status is very low. Given the potential role of vitamin C in sepsis and ARDS, there is gathering interest of whether supplementation could be beneficial in COVID-19.”

Here in the UK virtually no patients are tested for vitamin C deficiency, which can be done so easily with a urine vitamin C strip. Right now, I’m reviewing nine clinical trials – eight show benefit, one shows no effect, and the higher the dose the better the effect. This is relating to less deaths, better oxygenation, less inflammation and faster recovery.

If this study is representative of what's happening in the UK, where we eat less vitamin c rich foods, it suggests that 8 in 10 critically ill people need vitamin C.

Why do we have this blind-spot for vitamin C?

Unfortunately I have a feeling this summer is going to be full of cancellations and last minute availability, so I will start posting availability on here in the hope someone is able to fill it and I can offer some last minute pampering to a well deserved recipient. 😊

What with vaccine side effects, 14 day policy after returning to island, peoples general fear this summer and now isolation rules 🙄 I think a lot of small businesses are going to be affected 😢

Appointment available tomorrow at 12.45 or 1.15pm. Both for 45 mins

Optimising human potential.

We have so much more capacity than we mostly achieve, especially in our western world dynamics.

What will you do tomorrow to promote being your best?

Feeling well means feeling whole, balanced, vibrant, and alive. And there are many moving pieces that we can tap into to feel empowered in our own wellness journey.⁣

The key focus areas that I always recommend my patients pay attention to are community, spirit, emotional health, relationships, nutrition, movement, purpose, and mindset. Within these areas, we can have a dramatic influence on our immediate and future health.⁣

There is so much you can do to help yourself to prevent, treat, and heal dis-ease no matter what situation you’re in. You have the power to change your health and these areas are where it all begins.⁣

What’s one thing you do every day to improve your health?⁣

What to do?!
There's been a lot of debate and anticipation as to what is the right thing to do from 1st July once travel opens more.

Styx Centre has made the request that anyone travelling in from outside the Bailiwick please refrain from attending the centre until 14 days after their return.

Please note, this is REGARDLESS of whether you have had a COVID jab or not.

Thanks for your co-operation 🙏 and look forward to seeing you all on your journey to being in top health 🤸‍♀️🤸🤸‍♂️💥👣👀🧠🤸‍♂️

The elephant

Depression, cancer, heart disease, obesity, diabetes, dementia, allergies, asthma, chronic fatigue, autoimmune disease, and more are all inflammatory diseases. ⁣

That begs the question, what is causing all this rampant inflammation? It’s mostly our food—too many inflammatory foods and not enough anti-inflammatory foods. ⁣

While there are many ways food can trigger inflammation, food is also the most powerful source of anti-inflammatory compounds. Many of those 25,000 + phytochemicals are powerful anti-inflammatories. The polyphenols in plant foods are among nature's best inflammation-fighting compounds. Where is the best place to find these compounds? At the end of the rainbow — a rainbow of bright pigments and colors found in plant foods, red, green, yellow, orange, purple. Extra virgin olive oil contains oleocanthal, for example, which activates the same anti-inflammatory receptors as ibuprofen without all the side effects. ⁣

Spices are anti-inflammatory powerhouses, including turmeric, ginger, and rosemary. Meat cooked with spices neutralizes potential inflammation. Omega 3 fats found in wild foods, fish, seafood, and some nuts and seeds are also powerful anti-inflammatories. ⁣

Mushrooms including Sh*take, Maitake, Reishi, Chaga, Turkey tail, and Cordyceps contain powerful immune regulating and anti-cancer compounds called polysaccharides. And foods rich in vitamins and minerals boost immunity and reduce inflammation, including vitamin C, zinc, selenium, and vitamin D. Vitamin D alone regulates hundreds of genes that affect inflammation and immunity. So a meal of guavas and parsley (vitamin C), pumpkin seeds and oysters (zinc), Brazil nuts and sardines (selenium), and porcini mushrooms and herring (vitamin D) is an immune-boosting, anti-inflammatory super meal. Not sure what you could make with all those ingredients, but you get the idea!⁣

The best thing you can do for your health is to cut down or cut out inflammatory foods and increase anti-inflammatory foods starting today. ⁣
