The one bedroomed cottage at Le Vallon d'Or has proved very popular this year with couples, friends and families enjoying their summer holidays there this year. Enjoying the beach life but also the camomile lawn, meadow and woodlands. Buckets, spades and crab nets are provided at no extra cost.

Marbled coronet
A special visitor. The last time the marbled coronet (Hadena confusa) was recorded at Le Vallon d'Or was 1994 (Michael Shaffer 2008). This moth is usually on the wing in May/June and lives in chalky meadows and shingle beaches. This example looked extremely fresh and it will feed on red campion which we have in abundance, so it may have been home grown or just popped over for a visit from Jersey.

At last we are open following the winter refurbishments.
Huge thank you to Phil Godwin builders, Karl Rang Plumbing and Reece de Carteret for the beautiful finish. Not forgetting Freya Lalor in housekeeping.

Here is a before and after of the main bedroom in the two-bedroomed apartment. Gone are the surface water and heating pipes, the holes in the wall and the surface trunking for the electricity cables. Now we have a completely refreshing look for a peaceful nights sleep and a cosier feel for those early/late getaways.
