The walnut doors

For the guest bedrooms and en-suites at Courcheval, we’ve chosen walnut timber doors as a deliberate decision to bring softness, depth and warmth to these quieter spaces.

As the property is a hybrid of new and existing foundations, it meant that a variety of wall depths were taken in to consideration. As our door systems feature telescopic frame and architrave system gave us plenty of scope for adjustment, making the builders life easier.

We have a range of door finish samples in our studio, along with detailed brochures that make reviewing the options straightforward — a hands-on way to make confident design choices.

PROJECT DIARIES 💡
Courcheval Lodge

As part of our role in the Courcheval project, we designed and supplied a custom internal doors package, comprising three different door types all through a single manufacturer.

This approach brought clear benefits:
✨ Consistency in detailing and quality across all systems
✨ One point of technical coordination
✨ Simplified logistics with one delivery and one schedule

Each door was selected to suit its setting, from concealed doors in polished plaster corridors, to walnut doors in private rooms, steel-framed glazed doors at key transitions, and a pivot door system for the gym.

We’ll be diving deeper into the thinking behind each choice in the posts ahead. The project is in progress and we look forward to showing finished shots in 2026!

Discover the BOMMA lights currently on display as part of our collaboration with SUPERLUXE & Partners at Liberty Wharf, Jersey.

On show:
✨ Pyrite Chandelier (12-piece) – a constellation of golden firestone cubes inspired by mineral formations.
✨ Orbital Floor Lamp – sculptural glass lenses suspended in metal, evoking celestial movement and ambient light.
✨ Pebbles Floor Lamp – colourful, hand-blown crystal spheres that capture the natural beauty of river stones.

A closer look at some of the unique pieces featured in our collaboration with SUPERLUXE & Partners at Liberty Wharf in Jersey.

Included in the selection of pieces on display are two of our Bullet Oak furniture pieces: a desk and a media unit, both full of story and character. While not on display at the Jersey pop-up, the Bullet Oak dining table is also available for purchase as part of this collection. Each piece celebrates the beauty and history of these remarkable timbers.

These one-of-a-kind creations sit alongside exceptional contemporary art work from SUPERLUXE.

We’re delighted to share our collaboration with SUPERLUXE & Partners, a contemporary art platform representing exceptional emerging and award-winning artists around the world.

For the next few months, LUXE.je are making their mark at Liberty Wharf, Jersey, turning the space into a vibrant hub of art and design.

On display we have some of our items for sale including our Vintage Art Deco wingback chairs, handcrafted in supple leather with elegant, sculptural lines, along with our Bog Oak resin coffee table - a one-of-a-kind piece made from 10,000-year-old oak suspended in clear resin, set on a solid bronze base with a subtle built-in LED glow.
