My Background - Abby Manley-Gilbert

I am a Senior Occupational Therapist (BSc Hons) who specialises in Hand Therapy. I am a registered member of the British Association of Hand Therapists, Royal College of Occupational Therapists and The Health and Care Professions Council.

I have over 9 years’ experience in Occupational Therapy with 5 years specialising in Hand Therapy, most recently working for Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London. I am very much astute to the development of services to meet the needs of service users and recently presented at the 2019 Hand Surgery & Therapy Congress in Berlin on ‘Exploring the extended role of Hand Therapy Assistants’.

I am originally from Guernsey and have recently returned to the Island to practice. I am very keen to develop a Hand Therapy service to provide client centred, evidence based care to the Island.
