✨ Donation Update | September 14, 2025 ✨

The Knights of St. John International once again demonstrated their generosity towards St. Andrew Catholic Hospital, Kordiabe, by donating 100 chairs to our facility. 🙌

For several years, the Knights have been consistent pillars of support to us. Last year, we humbly requested their assistance with chairs and other essential items. On September 14, 2025, they graciously fulfilled part of that request with this wonderful donation — and are still working towards providing the remaining items.

Their kindness extends beyond our hospital, reaching our sisters, priests, and the wider communities of Kordiabe, Shai Hills, and beyond.

🎉 Celebrating 14 Years of Excellence – The Ace International School, Afienya 🎉

St. Andrew Catholic Hospital, Kordiabe, was delighted to welcome a team from The Ace International School – Afienya, who visited our facility to mark the school’s 14th Anniversary with a special presentation to new mothers and their babies.

The visit was led by Ms. Selorm Akuyo Amable, the school’s Founder and Executive Director, a passionate educationist who has dedicated nearly three decades to nurturing young minds. She was joined by some of the school’s bright student leaders – Kristodea Owusu-Ababio (Head Girl), Jeremy Quaye (Head Boy), and Mahdiya Yahaya (Protocol Prefect).

Supporting them were Mrs. Charity Hill-Mends, an English Language Facilitator and Head of Media who inspires learners towards excellence, and Lauretta NAA Larko Lamptey, a proud pioneer and alumna of the school currently studying at the University of Ghana.

Their kind gesture brought joy to mothers and newborns, reflecting the values of compassion, service, and community engagement that the school stands for.

We were blessed to gather as one faith community for our regular Friday Mass, which is held every two weeks, and this time it was made even more special as we celebrated the Feast Day of our Administrator, Sr. Dr. Mini Kuruvila.

The homily, delivered by our beloved Chaplain and Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Isaac Gyasi Amoateng, was a profound reminder that love is at the center of our Christian calling. The very love that Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth, perfectly lived, and which our Administrator continues to embody through her dedicated service.

🙏 We thank God for the gift of Sr. Dr. Mini Kuruvila and continue to pray for God’s abundant blessings upon her life and leadership at St. Andrew Catholic Hospital, Kordiabe.

Move and Thrive 2025 – A Great Success! 💪🌿

Our Physiotherapy Department, in collaboration with Diet Therapy and Wellness Clinic, successfully hosted the much-anticipated Move and Thrive 2025 program on Friday, 8th August 2025.

Participants enjoyed a refreshing morning filled with:
✅ Vital Checks to monitor health status
✅ Hydration and Nutrition Tips for a healthy lifestyle
✅ Fun Movements to boost energy and flexibility
✅ Free Goodies to take home

The atmosphere was lively, interactive, and filled with positive energy as we encouraged everyone to make wellness a daily habit. A big thank you to all who joined us in making the day both fun and impactful.

Celebrating World Breastfeeding Week 🍼🌍

As part of the World Breastfeeding Week celebration, the ANC Clinic and Public Health Unit (PHU) organized an interactive session with pregnant women and lactating mothers at the ANC department.

The session focused on the benefits of breastfeeding, emphasizing its role in building a baby’s immunity, strengthening mother-child bonding, and providing essential nutrition for healthy development. Participants also engaged in a practical demonstration and viewed a video illustration to deepen their understanding and confidence in breastfeeding practices.

We remain committed to supporting mothers with the knowledge and tools they need for a healthy start in life for their babies.

We were blessed to gather as one faith community for Holy Mass in celebration of the Feast of St. Alphonsus Liguori, a true model of love, service, and humility.

📖 First Reading: From the Book of Leviticus (Lev. 23:1, 4–11, 15–16, 27, 34b–37)
“These are the feasts of the Lord, which you shall proclaim as times of holy convocation.”

Theme: Don’t let anyone define your life – define it positively for yourself.

The homily, delivered by our beloved Chaplain and Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Isaac Gyasi Amoateng, was a profound reminder to rise above discouragement and boldly live our purpose, just as St. Alphonsus did, despite the opposition he faced.

🙏 We continue to pray for the intercession of St. Alphonsus Liguori — that we, too, may serve with passion, humility, and joy in our respective vocations.
