π©ΊπΆπ½ Neonatal Resuscitation Training β Empowering Care, Saving Lives!
On Thursday, 17th July 2025, St. Andrew Catholic Hospital, Kordiabe, successfully held a Neonatal Resuscitation Training for staff from the Maternity, Pediatric, Emergency, and Medical units. The training, which saw massive attendance, aimed to build staff confidence and skills in handling newborn emergencies effectively.
Participants were taken through key life-saving topics, including:
πΉ Initial steps of newborn care immediately after delivery
πΉ Assessment of newborn breathing and heart rate
πΉ Airway positioning and suctioning techniques
πΉ Positive Pressure Ventilation (PPV)
πΉ Chest compressions in neonates
πΉ Use of resuscitation equipment and teamwork during emergencies
πΉ When and how to escalate care
