Your body may be different to before but it is still invaluable, even with the changes you have gone through. Be proud of what your body has survived and take good care of it.

Lie on your belly with your head away from the amputation side for 30 minutes daily to prevent flexion issues. When in a wheelchair, slide a flat plank under your residual limb instead of letting it dangle with a bent knee. Skipping this step might cause contracture by the time you're ready for a prosthetic fitting.
