Hi everyone,
Today is World Patient Safety Day.
Let's read this great message from World Health Organization.
"🩺 Today, 17 September, is World Patient Safety Day.
👶🏽 This year’s theme shines a light on the youngest patients – newborns and children up to 9 years old. Safe care from the very start can shape a lifetime of health.
👨👩👦👦 Parents and families play a vital role in keeping children safe during health care.
You are your child’s best advocate. Here’s what you can do:
📝 Track & share: Keep notes on symptoms, medications, and appointments.
📚 Stay informed: Learn about common childhood conditions and understand hospital safety rules like handwashing and visitor restrictions.
📣 Ask & confirm: Always ask about treatments. Doublecheck names, allergies and medications before interventions.
❤️🩹Trust your instincts: If something feels wrong, speak up, you know your child best.
Remember: Most harm is preventable.
