International Men’s Day celebrates the love and protection men provide for their families and communities.

Sadly, globally every year, 452,000 men die of su***de. The International Men’s Day theme for 2023 is ZERO MALE SU***DE.

Almost twice as many men die of su***de, compared to women.

Professor Dan Blisker states that we are in the middle of a “silent epidemic of male su***de.”

Dr Rob Whitley says, “New, male-friendly su***de prevention measures must be adopted to help halt the crisis.”

Dr Johnny Andoh-Arthur states that “Studies continue to reveal a disproportionately high number of males in both su***de and attempted su***de. Suicidal behaviour in Ghana is predominantly male problem.”

One su***de is one too many. Together, we CAN work towards ZERO MALE SU***DE.
