Theme: " *ACCESS TO DIABETES EDUCATION* "
Its' World diabetes day today, a day dedicated to raising awareness, the symptoms to look out for and the risks if left untreated.

This year’s theme, ‘access to diabetes education’, underpins the larger multi-year theme of 'access to care'.

The likelihood that someone may get heart disease depends on the number of heart disease risk factors they have.

However, a person with diabetes has 2 to 4 times increased chance of dying from heart disease.
