MANAGEMENT OF HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE (HPT)
New Month Sermon - June.
High blood pressure is a medical condition in which the force of the blood against the artery walls is too high. A medical instrument known as the sphygmomanometer or blood pressure monitor is used to check one’s blood pressure and usually, hypertension is defined as blood pressure above 140/90 (systolic blood pressure being 140 with the diastolic blood pressure being 90); and is considered severe if the pressure is above 180/120.
A high blood pressure left unregulated over a period of time can lead to dangerous health complications like, heart attack or stroke, aneurysms, heart failure, kidney problems, eye problems, metabolic syndrome, change with memory or understanding and dementia.
There are some symptoms or warning signs of High Blood Pressure to look out for and these includes;
* Experiencing blurry or double vision.
* Having light headedness or feeling faint
* Tiredness or fatigue
* Experiencing headaches
* Having heart palpitations
* Bleeding in the nose
* Experiencing shortness of breath
* Feeling nauseous and/or vomiting.
