Did you know nutrition and mental health are connected?
We are often taught that healthy eating helps us look and feel good physically. What we don’t often hear is how good nutrition affects mental health.
Our brain works 24 hours non-stop, even while we’re asleep. What this means is that our brain needs constant supply of fuel 24/7. The only source of that fuel is the food we eat and that fuel makes the difference.
Making it simple, what we eat directly affects how we feel, think, behave and perform.
A healthy, well-balanced diet can help us think clearly, feel more alert, improve mood, concentration and attention span. ,
Nutrition also plays a role in prevention and treatment of anxiety, depression and other mental problems.
