Ladies and gents, we bring you warm greetings for the season, a few tips about how to minimize pest infestation at the kitchen.
In this season, bulk buying is key if u run a commercial food service, as you buy from many farm gates, do not take the stake to ur warehouse directly without practicing the following.
1. Have a check list to ensure that u bought exactly what u needed.
2. Double check the items for pockets of soil and gently remove them.
3. Sort out all the items, especially those near perishing and add the appropriate preservative.
4. Re-organise the stock in a manner that u can access those with short shelf life to be used first.
5. Ensure u store these items above 5meters to reduce the attraction of insects that can destroy them.
6. Have a thermometer to be recording the temperature of the warehouse and present it to your pest control agent before treatment.
