A good question 🧐

As a yoga studio running since 2013 in Accra, our students and training grads are regularly curious about the question below. Running a yoga program, anywhere, requires lots of deep breaths. We framed it up for you here:

➡️➡️ “I’m opening a yoga studio. What are the things that you find most important in a studio? What would keep you coming back and what would keep you away?”

First, there will always be students with whom you don’t click, so be prepared for that.

Second, the quality of the teachers makes or breaks a studio! Intelligent, knowledgeable, sensitive, and insightful teachers keep students coming back time and time again. Teachers whose classes are disorganized, or who have no knowledge of alignment, or who focus more class sizes than balanced minds give us chills.

Some pluses: simple payment options, a well-designed, up-to-date website, and a convenient location. Clean open spaces and well-designed decor + places to sit and relax after class!

Minuses: implied studio experience/level requirements can be very discouraging.

The "Year of Return" was a 2019 initiative by Ghana to encourage members of the African diaspora to visit the country, particularly African Americans, to reconnect with their roots and heritage. This initiative coincided with the 400th anniversary of the arrival of the first recorded enslaved Africans in the Americas

Ouch. So……as a yoga teacher you will have the opportunity to meet clients, where they are at, and that also means financially. While we are fully in support of karmic yoga offerings, sliding scale and putting a cost on your services that best fits YOU, this public service announcement is to remind you that your TIME is of so much value!!!

Whether you choose to offer classes, purely, straight from your heart, just make sure you feel covered and honored.

Location: BLISS IS NOW IN OSU - 2020!

OUR LOCATION: Osu! H P Nyemitei St. GOOGLE US. YOU WILL FIND US ON GOOGLE MAPS.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: 1. If you are driving from the Total Filling Station, off of Danquah Circle in Osu.....2. Make the first right after you pass the Total Filling Station - then drive up that road (H P Nyemitei St). 3. You will then pass the Acrilex Art Shop, which will be on your left - continue on....4. You will then pass the Allied Gas Station, which will be on your right...5. We are in the last shopping center, on the top of that road - on the right - on the top floor. 6. The building is directly across the street from the Salvation Army.

We are one of the only full service yoga studios in Ghana!
