Remember when we informed you about the Regional Biomedical Engineering Workshop that we were constructing for the Greater Accra Regional Health Directorate? 👀

Yes! We are back with an update! 😇🎉

Today, together with the Ghana Health Service, Ghana is excited to announce that the facility has been officially commissioned and is now fully operational!

This fully equipped workshop will ensure every medical equipment is maintained, repaired, and kept in optimal condition so that every patient across the Greater Accra Region receives the they deserve.

KOFIH Ghana is proud of this achievement and remains committed to investing in the health infrastructure that keeps Ghana's health system strong.

In a medical emergency, the strength of a nation’s system can mean the difference between life and death.

At the KOFIH Ghana Office today, we welcomed partners from the Ministry of Health, Ghana, Ghana Health Service, Ghana Health Service-Volta, and Oti Regional Health Directorate to review and discuss findings and recommendations from the feasibility study for our Emergency Medical Service-Centered Health System Strengthening project in the Oti and Volta Regions.

From equipping emergency departments and training health professionals to strengthening community awareness and improving how patients are assessed and referred, this project is designed to reach people at every point of the emergency process, from the first call for help to the moment care is received.

For every citizen, is working to ensure is within reach, so that no life is lost in an emergency.

When it comes to stroke care, every second can mean the difference between recovery, lifelong disability, or even death.

After completing the three-month Dr LEE Jong-wook Fellowship training for Clinical Experts in Korea last year, Dr. Romeo Boaheng returned to Ghana, determined to strengthen stroke care at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital (CCTH).

Together with CCTH, we unveiled a fully equipped Stroke Unit last Tuesday, enhancing the hospital’s capacity to respond quickly and improve outcomes for stroke patients.

At KOFIH Ghana, we remain committed to strengthening specialised care and building resilient health systems across the country.
