Healthy Behind Bars

Yesterday we showed up at the Obuasi Local Prison. Together with KNUST Health Science Students Association, we provided free medical care for inmates and officers.

Beneficiaries received physician consultation, dental care, laboratory tests, medications, toothbrushes, and health talk and counseling sessions.

We’re grateful to the prison officers, our volunteers, donors, the media and everyone who’s been supportive on this project.

We have been able to successfully put togethr another edition of our prison medical outreach program. We're proud to contribute to the universal health coverage by supporting healthcare with the marginalised community.
