You will catch cold from cold weather

You can't directly catch a cold from cold weather. Colds are caused by viruses, specifically rhinoviruses, which are highly contagious and spread through:

1. Direct contact:
Touching someone who's infected or contaminated surfaces.

2. Airborne transmission:
Inhaling viral particles when an infected person talks, coughs, or sneezes.

Cold weather might contribute to the spread of colds indirectly:

1. Increased indoor exposure:
People gather indoors during cold weather, increasing the chance of close contact with others.

2. Dry air:
Low humidity can make your nasal passages more susceptible to viral infections.

To stay healthy, focus on:

1. Good hygiene: Wash your hands frequently.
2. Avoid close contact: With people who are sick.
3. Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of fluids.
4. Dress warmly: To prevent discomfort and stress.
