Freedom Aid Ghana in collaboration with the High Commission in Ghana is establishing an Obstetric Theatre at the Kekele Polyclinic in Madina. It's going to be the first surgical theatre at the clinic since it was established in 1974. We are glad for the opportunity to improve Healthcare services in Ghana. A special thanks to Australian Aid for the sponsorship.

Its a huge win for Ghana, the good people of Australia and the people of Madina especially our pregnant women. Stay tuned for the commissioning in the coming months.

We are excited to embark on another major initiative to positively impact Ghana’s health sector. This year, Freedom Aid Ghana, in collaboration with the High Commission is establishing an Obstetric Theatre at the Kekele Polyclinic in Madina.

Currently, the polyclinic lacks a surgical facility to support pregnant women during delivery. For years, expectant mothers have been referred to hospitals located several kilometers away—a situation that has sadly led to numerous complications and fatalities.

Thanks to the generous support of the Australian High Commission, this critical gap is being addressed. Soon, hundreds of women will have access to safer, more convenient delivery and surgical care right at Kekele Polyclinic.

This project marks Freedom Aid Ghana’s third collaboration with the Australian Government and our eighteenth health intervention in Ghana. Together, we remain committed to strengthening healthcare delivery and saving lives across the nation.

Kekele Polyclinic in Madina is our next destination for an impact project. Freedom Aid Ghana in collaboration with the Australian High Commission, Ghana will set up an Obstetric Theatre to support the health service delivery at Kekele Polyclinic early 2025. This will be our 18th health projects in Ghana and the 3rd project in collaboration with the Australian High Commission, Ghana.

In the coming days, we will be sharing updates on why we chose Kekele Polyclinic for the next project and further details. Stay tuned!
