*Understanding Fragrance Types*
1. Parfum (Extrait de Parfum or Pure Perfume): The most concentrated form, with 20-30% fragrance oils. Lasts up to 8 hours, often considered the most luxurious form.
2. Eau de Parfum (EDP): Contains 15-20% fragrance oils. Offers a balance between intensity and longevity, typically lasting 4-5 hours.
3. Eau de Toilette (EDT): Lighter with 5-15% concentration of oils. Ideal for everyday wear, providing a subtle scent that usually lasts for about 3 hours.
4. Eau de Cologne (EDC): Even lighter, usually with a 2-6% concentration of oils in a high-alcohol base. Often features a fresh, light, and fruity character, lasting around 2 hours.
5. Eau Fraiche: The most diluted version of fragrance, similar to EDC but usually with an even lower concentration of fragrance oils (1-3%). It’s refreshing and light, ideal for a quick, mild application.
6. After Shave: Specially formulated for use after shaving, containing about 1-3% aromatic compounds with soothing elements to calm the skin.
7. Body Mist/Splash: A light, refreshing spray or splash with a low concentration of fragrance oils, perfect for a gentle, fleeting scent.
