It's Barbie season! Just a reminder that It's been over a year since the manufacturer of Barbie dolls released a new set of dolls with Hearing Aids; as part of efforts towards diversity and inclusion. Way to go Barbie! 💓👏🏽

In a drive for further diversity, the American doll manufacturer is releasing its first ever Barbie with hearing aids alongside a Ken doll with the skin condition vitiligo.

Myths about Hearing loss
- If you keep talking to a child with a Hearing loss, they'll eventually hear and speak ❌

Truth
- Talking to your child will not cure Hearing loss. Children with hearing loss need intervention as early as possible. These interventions are dependant on the degree of Hearing loss, and could be in the form of Hearing Aids / Cochlear Implantation with speech therapy and Alternative language (Sign Language).
Visit your Audiologist if you suspect your child has a Hearing loss. If you need help finding one, send a DM and we will be glad to help
