Brainstorming Session

We draw curtains on this week’s boot camp with a brainstorming session, where participants got to generate ideas for projects to be worked on in anticipation of next week’s finale. They formed groups and built part of their projects as a test. We look forward to witnessing the final products.

Godwin Mensah led a lab on Introduction to Waziup Cloud in our ongoing IoT Bootcamp. Participants were guided through the process of setting up Waziup cloud accounts and Waziup gateways using pi.

This was the 2nd session of the day and touched on how to send sensor data to the Waziup gateway and cloud.

We wrap up week two of the 4 Saturdays of IoT Bootcamp with participants building Light-Emitting Diodes (LEDs) and writing codes to control them.

Away from the theoretical aspects, participants gained hands-on experience through practical projects.

It was an interactive day at iSpace over the weekend as we started the IoT Bootcamp that will take place each Saturday in November. The facilitators taught participants lessons on basic electronics, the foundations of Arduino and Raspberry Pi, and how to regulate voltages and currents.

Participants got the chance to get clarification on their most pressing questions about the lessons and new equipment.

Participants also had a hands-on lab to build an IoT device.

As part of the Talent Program, HUBbiquitous has opened a call for the HUBiquitous IoT Training Course aimed at providing training for specifically IoT hobbyists/enthusiasts, developers and engineers or people with technical background.
Applicants will be evaluated, selected and given access to the courses on an online platform. There will be hands-on sessions in which selected applicants will access resources from selected hubs in their countries.
