Day 3 of our camp was phenomenal. Our day was packed with CARE activities that helped us demonstrate effective communication using our face and body.

Participants also used a variety of self-disclosure statements as they interacted with others. Strategies for advocating for themselves were shared, and they wished other people knew about stammering were discussed in detail.

Later, we had a parade and a march through Chorkor (a fishing community along the coast of Accra). The participants shared with people on the streets what they wished the public knew about stammering.

Day 2 was super packed with lots of smiles and opportunities. We had a great time using our face, body, speech rate, volume, and emphasis for effective communication.

Additionally, we learned about advocating for ourselves as people who stammer. Self-disclosure statements were also individualized and used throughout the day.
