Voice Of The Innocent Children - voicgh

Voice Of The Innocent Children - voicgh This is a legally registered Charity/ NGO that focuses primarily on CHILD HEALTH and EDUCATION oper But there is light at the end of the tunnel. Yes we can.

Voice of the Innocent Children (VOIC) is a non-profit non-governmental organization duly registered under the laws of Ghana; The Companies Code, 1963 (Act 179). VOIC is based in Accra but at the moment mainly operates in Tumu and it's surrounding communities, in the Sissala East District of the Upper West Region of Ghana. Our priority areas of focus are on CHILD HEALTH and EDUCATION. VOIC seeks to

help children in the deprived and vulnerable communities in the region and beyond. It is the intention of VOIC to eventually extend its programmes and activities to benefit children in the three (3) northern regions of Ghana in the very near future. The organization has been introduced to the Ghana Education Service and the District Assemblies of Lawra and Jirapa in the Upper West Region including Zebilla and Navrongo in the Upper East Region. Some of our activities include identifying little children in the less privileged communities with congenital medical conditions for which their parents do not have the financial capability to treat. We come in to help the family raise the necessary funding to enable the child get the required medical assistance and restore him or her to normalcy. We also source for financial assistance in the form scholarships for brilliant but needy students in the deprived communities to be able to climb up the academic ladder. To date, we have assisted a number of children go through primary education through to the senior high level. We intend to continue to offer assistance to beneficiaries who excel and qualify to enter any tertiary institution. VOIC was founded in October 2010 by Kwesi Ansah and Adams Mohammed as a result of their desire to render humanitarian services to the poor and needy children who otherwise will not be able to make it due to their state of health or their inability to get a good education. Our main goal is to help build stronger, healthier and educated communities in the deprived areas. We believe that by ensuring these children remain in school, we are empowering them to contribute positively to their communities and the country in the long term. Without healthy and strong children, all our noble plans for them will not see the light of day. We also take these children on educational tours to various places of national interest such as the seat of government, the Parliament House, to have a first-hand impression of proceedings in Parliament, and other national monuments like the Akosombo dam, the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, the National Museum, the Paga crocodile pond, the Mole game park, to mention but a few. We also take them out to visit other communities so that they can learn about other cultures, customs and traditions. This makes them appreciate the essence of national unity and cohesion. Over the past 5 years since we started this organization to engage in humanitarian work, we have helped quite a number of children who have had congenital problems get medical help by raising funds through the founder’s personal funds and also using his network. The time has come to seek more funds from donors all over the world to ensure continuity and the ability to help a lot more children. We are currently inundated with phone calls and emails from all over the country to come and assist but we do not have the financial muscle to help all these children. It hurts us to have to turn some of these children away because we cannot afford to start what we cannot finish. We will get there. We have helped a few children to go to school by securing scholarships for them from institutions like CAMFED and Save Ghana. Currently we are working on securing scholarships from the Women Empowerment Foundation International (WEFI) for about ten (10) children in the Upper West region from the primary to the senior high school level. We also have plans of adopting a day care center in Tumu and turning it into a model school, set up motivation schemes that will encourage the teaching staff to give of their best and make these kids a toast of the community. We are equally working in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service to organize activities such as debates, spelling bee competitions, and essay writing competitions, all of which will help and encourage the children to read more and get a solid foundation in education. Once the foundation is good you can be sure that these children will sail through and climb up the academic ladder with ease. Mathematics has also been identified as a serious challenge for some of these children. We are in the process of setting up mathematics clubs in some designated schools in order to identify how we can help them pick up and understand and enjoy the subject. We have also in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare re-integrated about 300 kaya yee (head porter girls) under 16 years into their communities in the 3 northern regions of the country. This exercise is an on-going activity. Once we identify those who want to go back home, we give them some skills training to equip them with the requisite skills to self-employ themselves in various vocations and other income generating activities. Some we have also put back in the classroom to continue their education. We have been successful in this direction as well and we are hoping to do more in the future. I hope your involvement will help us perform better than we are doing and also give us more ideas for the expansion and growth of the organization of which the ultimate winners will be the less privileged and vulnerable children. These are some of the things we have done and wish to do more in future

UPDATE ON KWADWO
JOURNEY TO FULL RECOVERY
Location: Korle Bu Teaching Hospital
Date: 23/1/2026

Thank you to all who responded to our urgent call for help. Fortunately, we were able to buy all the chemo drugs, it’s been mixed, and the chemo cycle has started. It’s in the black pouch hanging up there because of it’s photo sensitivity. Kwadwo is sleeping now while the drugs go down. Hopefully, in the next few hours, we will be done, and then post-hydration will begin.
God bless us all for supporting Kwadwo in his time of need. And let’s all bear him up in prayer when we say a prayer.
I’ll keep you all updated on his progress.

God Bless

Now I can go home and get some rest.

URGENT HELP NEEDED

UPDATE ON KWADWO
JOURNEY TO FULL RECOVERY
Location: Korle Bu Teaching Hospital
Date: 23/1/2026

WE NEED GHs 1,580 TO BUY CHEMO DRUGS

Hi, my awesome family and friends, I am in Korle Bu to see Kwadwo, who came in to have another cycle of chemotherapy. He is looking better and also feeling better. We can only thank God for this.
We have done about 8 cycles of chemo already, and each heavy dose cycle costs almost GHs 3,000. This has taken a hard hit on our pockets. The cost of chemo drugs for the next cycle is GHs2,830, but our wells have run dry.
We humbly come to you again for your usual support. We have Ghs 1,250 already and need GHs1,630 to top up and buy the drugs. He’s started the post-hydration phase to get his alkaline Ph to an appreciable level, then chemo will start.
If we can get at least 30 earth angels reading this post, giving us GHs 50 each, I’m sure we will be able to sort ourselves out. Kwadwo needs your support
This 8th cycle costs GHs 2,830. We have GHs1,250 already, and need GHs1,580. A little more help from you guys will be very much appreciated. Then we can buy the rest of the chemo drugs and get it sorted out this evening. We can't afford to miss this cycle or it'll set us back and detail the plan he's been put on

Your support can be sent to MTN MoMo

UPDATE ON JJ
Location: Teshie Cold Store
Date: 26/12/25

I went to Teshie to visit JJ on Christmas Day. JJ is fine and in high spirits. He’s still in a little pain but it is expected immediately after surgery.

He will go for dressing of the wound on Saturday, 27th December, and his next review with the doctor will be on January 3, 2026. He can walk without aid, which is a good sign.

Another piece of good news is that there will be no need for physiotherapy again. He only needs to walk around for a bit, and that’s enough for a day.

Thank you all once again for what you have done for JJ. Your money, your prayers, your support, your encouragement etc.
May the good lord replenish you in ways you can’t even think of.

Happy Boxing Day to us all

Praise God. He has done it once again

JJ’s surgery was successful. He’s out of the theatre and is in the ICU now, still sedated. When he comes around, he’ll be taken to the recovery ward, probably until tomorrow, before going to the ward proper.

Thank you all, who said a word of prayer for JJ and who have also given us cash donations. God listened to your prayers and answered them accordingly.

Let’s continue to bear JJ up in prayer for a speedy recovery, leading to a new lease of life.

His mum and I are now leaving the hospital. Hopefully, by tomorrow, he’ll be brought to the ward, and we can talk to him.

Thank you all once again for everything.

TIME TO PRAY FOR JJ

My boy JJ went under the knife this morning. He’s currently in theatre as we speak. As you read this, say a short prayer for him. And my prayer warriors, let's get to work and pray for a successful surgery.

I’d like to thank everybody who has donated towards JJ’s surgery in cash and in kind. May the good Lord bless us all and replenish us all 10 fold.

I’m still asking for support. We are still a long way from reaching our target, but we are optimistic that by the time of his discharge, we would have raised a substantial amount to pay our bills.

Kindly support us with your Noko Fio via MoMo.

OPERATION GET GHS 12K 4 JJ

Hello, my awesome family and friends. The campaign to help JJ get surgery is still ongoing. The first post has been shared, but it hasn't translated into donations. We have received just about GHs4,000, and we still need to raise about GHs8,000.

I’m still here pleading with you for support, waiting and counting on you to make it possible for JJ to get surgery this time. We missed the opportunity a few months ago because we lacked the funds to pay for the MRI and CT scans.
JJ is on admission today, Sunday, 14th December 2025, and surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning, God willing. May the good Lord touch your hearts to support JJ.

Pls, I want 200 Angels on Earth reading this to give me GHs40 each. We are sure we will hit our target soon.
We can do it.
And PLS SHARE this post for me if you are not in a position to support. Somebody in your plug will see it and help this young boy.

PLS SHARE 4 us to reach more people.

For the purpose of protecting this young boys' identity, his face is blurred out, and we’ll refer to him only by his initials JJ.

JJ is a smart 14-year-old kid diagnosed about 2 years ago with Scoliosis (an abnormal curvature of the spine), and he needs urgent surgery to correct this anomaly as it gets worse as he grows.
About 2 years ago, his mother noticed a change in his posture and so took him to the hospital to have it checked out. After several referrals to different hospitals, JJ and his mum ended up at Focos Orthopaedic Hospital, where they were told a procedure could fix this problem. And it would cost them almost GHs242,000.00. This was late last year.
A few months ago, he got sponsorship that paid for the cost of surgery, but JJ’s mum had to find money for a CT scan and an MRI, which cost GHs 5000. His mom, who is a single mother and sells kooko, could not raise the said amount to do the scans, and so they missed to opportunity to utilise the sponsorship, and it was given to someone else.
Fortunately, a second opportunity is knocking at our door now, and we can’t afford to miss it this time around. Another sponsorship is available to cover the cost of surgery, but we have to raise GHs 12,000 to take care of the CT scans, MRI, post-surgery treatment, discharge medications, physiotherapy, assistive device etc.
Surgery is most likely to be on the 12th December 2025, which is a few days away.

JJ urgently needs our help to be able to get this surgery done
Kindly support us with your Noko Fio donation via MoMo.

UPDATE ON KWADWO
JOURNEY TO FULL RECOVERY
Location: Korle Bu Teaching Hospital
Date: 24/10/2025
Time: 10:43

Hello, my wonderful Facebook family/online support base, we would like to extend a big thank you to all of you who have supported this little man, Kwadwo, to date.
The good news today is that Kwadwo is very well, and he has been discharged, and we’re ready to go home. Due to the POP, which is fixed from his chest down to his leg, he’s unable to sit upright for now, so we have gotten an ambulance to take him home.
He will be in the cast for another three weeks, and once it’s removed, we will begin physiotherapy.
God has been good to us.
However, he will be back in Korle Bu on the 4th of November for the next session of chemotherapy.

Thank you all once again for all the support you gave us in cash and kind when we needed it most. Thank you for all the prayers.

May the good Lord bless us all and replenish your pockets 10 fold.
