The Presbyterian Hospital at Agogo has acquired a state-of-the-art Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) machine to strengthen its Eye Clinic. The new equipment was unveiled on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, by General Manager Rev. Ezekiel Amadu Daribi.
This development follows recent upgrades—funded entirely through the hospital’s internally generated funds—including an automatic lens edger, fundus camera, AB scan, and non-contact tonometer.
According to Rev. Daribi, these investments reflect the hospital’s mission to provide holistic, technologically advanced care. The OCT machine enhances diagnostic precision for retinal and optic nerve conditions, placing the hospital among Ghana’s leading centres for eye care.

A two-day Onsite Training on logistics management under the Ghana Integrated Health Partnership(IHP) project has taken place at PreHA.
Participants were schooled on Inventory Management and Good Storage Practices.
Mr. Smith Owusu Ansah,
Quality Assurance Manager at CHAG facilitated the training.
Participants were drawn from Stores, Medical Stores, Pharmacy, General Administration, Accounts, Nursing Administration and Procurement Units.

Yesterday July 09, 2025, the General Manager - Rev. Ezekiel Amadu Daribi of Presbyterian Health Service -Asante Akyem Area, Agogo joined the Municipal Director of Health, Ghana Health Service - Mr. Roland Ronald Welaga Miah to welcome the Metropolitan/Municipal Directors in Ashanti Region to Agogo for their Second quarter retreat.
He called on the Directors to strengthen the bond between GHS and CHAG facilities at their levels for effective and quality service delivery.

At the said meeting, the General Manager ceased the opportunity as the National President of Association of Health Service Administrators, Ghana (AHSAG) to appeal to the Directors to offer the necessary support to Health Service Administrators in their respective MMDs.
Finally, as an Ordained Minister of the Presbytarian Church of Ghana, he also prayed for the Directors citing Numbers 6:24-26.

PreHA has honoured Nana Brogya Sarpong, the Founder of Brogya Foundation at a ceremony held on June 27, 2025 at the hospital. Nana Brogya Sarpong who is also the Dompiahene of Agogo Traditional Area was honoured for his meritorious service to the hospital, particularly for bringing a surgical team from the United States of America to offer free constructive surgeries. He was presented with a citation by the Board Chairman of the Presbyterian Health Service – Asante Akyem Area, Rev. David Aboagye - Danquah on behalf of the Hospital and Presbyterian Church of Ghana at large. Rev Aboagye - Danquah thanked Nana Brogya Sarpong for his selfless service to the humanity. The gathering prayed for him and asked for God's blessings for him.
The General Manager, Rev. Ezekiel Amadu Daribi also thanked Nana and ceased the opportunity to appeal to the Agogo Traditional Council and all well-wishers of the hospital to help lunch and raise funds for the construction of an Ultra-Modern Diagnostic Centre to mark the centenary anniversary celebration of the hospital which is six years away from March 2025. He emphasized that such a facility will go a long way to improve healthcare delivery in the catchment area and the country at large.
The colorful event conceded with the Area Board Quarterly meeting.
The Korintihene of Agogo Traditional Council graced the occasion and was also presented with a portrait of a cross section of leadership of the Church, the area health service and the hospital including he Nana Korintihene.

The 2ND Quarter edition of the PHS Asante-Akyem Area Management Committee meeting has been held at PreHA on June 26, 2025. This special edition was used to sensitive and orientate committee members who have been placed on administrative transfer list.
The General Manager for the Area Rev Ezekiel Amadu Daribi who chaired the meeting made a presentations on Transition Management in Corporate Environment to admonish affected members.

PreHA has been in health partnership with JICA since the year 2011 when the first Health Volunteer was posted to the hospital by JICA. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the partnership was put on hold. Shoka Tamaki, Japanese Health Volunteer has been posted to PreHA for a two-year voluntary health service to resuscitate the existing partnership. Shoka who is a Public Health Nurse is currently attached to the Public Health Department of PreHA.

The Ghana National Fire Service in conjunction with the Management of PreHA today June 24, 2025 organized a fire prevention and safety training for a cross-section of PreHA staff. The staff were taken though rudiments of fire fighting, safety and prevention in the hospital setting.
