The Community 22 Polyclinic's first stakeholders' meeting was a resounding success! Held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, the meeting brought together key partners, including the Municipal Director of Health Services, Dr. Sophia Quist, representatives from the Municipal Assembly, law enforcement agencies, businessmen/women, neighboring schools, churches,mosques , hospitals, and philanthropic agencies.
Achievements Highlighted
The head of the facility, Dr. Godfred Takyi presented the polyclinic's impressive achievements in 2024, including:
- Clinical Achievements:
- Zero maternal mortality
- 60% reduction in stillbirths
- Increased OPD attendance from 15,475 to 19,709
- Total deliveries increased to 656
- 301 surgeries with no surgical site infections
- Infrastructure Development:
- Newly constructed Antenatal Block
- Laboratory expansion
- Stores expansion
- Creation of a VIP(special) Ward
- Canteen under construction
Future Plans and Partnerships
The hospital administrator ,Mr. Stephen Agbenyo facilitated a brainstorming session, where representatives shared ideas and made promises to support the polyclinic's mission to become a beacon of hope and excellence in healthcare delivery. The municipal health director concluded the meeting by commending the polyclinic's exceptional achievements and seeking sponsorship to complete ongoing projects.
She also emphasized the need to partner to eliminate malaria by 2030.
