ANNUAL CHILD HEALTH PROMOTION WEEK :

Our facility leveraged this celebration to promote child health through education, immunization exercises, and food demonstrations. We were honored to have Tema International School join us, providing mothers with crucial exercises to enhance their well-being and that of their fetuses.

This year's event was exciting and informative, with mothers leaving with valuable packages. We encourage family members and neighbors to support mothers in need and advise them to seek medical attention promptly if they notice any changes in their child's condition.

As part of the World TB Day Celebration,

Community 22 Polyclinic joined the global effort to raise awareness about tuberculosis (TB)!

Our team:

- Conducted sensitization programs across various units, emphasizing the importance of early detection and screening.
- Delivered informative talks at the Outpatient Department (OPD) and Antenatal Clinic (ANC), spreading the message that TB is curable!

The Community 22 Polyclinic's first stakeholders' meeting was a resounding success! Held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, the meeting brought together key partners, including the Municipal Director of Health Services, Dr. Sophia Quist, representatives from the Municipal Assembly, law enforcement agencies, businessmen/women, neighboring schools, churches,mosques , hospitals, and philanthropic agencies.

Achievements Highlighted
The head of the facility, Dr. Godfred Takyi presented the polyclinic's impressive achievements in 2024, including:

- Clinical Achievements:
- Zero maternal mortality
- 60% reduction in stillbirths
- Increased OPD attendance from 15,475 to 19,709
- Total deliveries increased to 656
- 301 surgeries with no surgical site infections
- Infrastructure Development:
- Newly constructed Antenatal Block
- Laboratory expansion
- Stores expansion
- Creation of a VIP(special) Ward
- Canteen under construction

Future Plans and Partnerships
The hospital administrator ,Mr. Stephen Agbenyo facilitated a brainstorming session, where representatives shared ideas and made promises to support the polyclinic's mission to become a beacon of hope and excellence in healthcare delivery. The municipal health director concluded the meeting by commending the polyclinic's exceptional achievements and seeking sponsorship to complete ongoing projects.
She also emphasized the need to partner to eliminate malaria by 2030.

On Wednesday, February 19th, 2025, we were delighted to welcome students from Tema International School to Community 22 Polyclinic. The Management was touched by the initiative of the 8th-grade representatives, who returned to support clients they had seen during a previous excursion in 2024.

Dr. Godfred Takyi Yaboah, our Medical Superintendent, warmly received the students and expressed his joy at witnessing their compassion and selflessness. He encouraged them to nurture these values and strive to reach their full potential.

The Management, Staff and Clients of Community 22 Polyclinic would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Tema International School administration, teachers, and students for their kindness and generosity. We look forward to future collaborations.

The commissioning of the ultra-modern ANC facility at Community 22 Polyclinic on February 18, 2025, marks a significant milestone for the Ashaiman community. This achievement wouldn't have been possible without the collaborative efforts of the Ashaiman MHD, the Regional Director of Health Services, philanthropists, the Chief of Ashaiman, and the MP for Ashaiman, Hon Ernest Norgbe.

Special commendation goes to Hon Ernest Norgbe for his commitment to seeing the project through to completion. The team's professionalism, teamwork, and attention to detail ensured the project was completed on time and within budget.

The new ANC facility will provide quality, safe, and focused antenatal services, significantly improving delivery outcomes for mothers in Community 22 and surrounding areas.
The Community 22 Polyclinic's motto, "Serving with SWAG" (Smile, Willingness, Agility, and Graciousness), is truly embodied in this achievement ¹.

Community 22 Polyclinic marked its anniversary on July 9, 2024, with a ceremony at the facility's forecourt. The event drew a notable attendance, including the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, the Chief of Ashaiman, regional and municipal directors from the Ghana Health Services, hospital CEOs, and other dignitaries.

Dr. Godfred K. Takyi, the Medical Superintendent, delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the importance of community engagement in developing health facilities. This was followed by brief remarks from the municipal and regional directors. The MCE then presented the keynote address.

The program also featured a sketch by CPC staff and a musical performance by the CPC choir. The event concluded with an appeal for funds to support the completion of the facility's antenatal unit project, highlighting the need for continued community support.

Overall, the anniversary celebration was a success, bringing together key stakeholders and emphasizing the importance of community involvement in healthcare development."

As part of the ongoing Child Health Promotion campaign, the Community 22 polyclinic embarked on health promotion activities such as talks and food demonstrations for mothers and relatives at the child welfare clinic. The activities emphasized the importance of nutrition in promoting the health of babies. The team also created an open environment for diverse questions, seizing the opportunity to clarify or debunk misconceptions on the subject matter raised by our participants.
