SUBMUCOUSAL FIBROID

Uterine fibroids are very common and affects some 70% or more women. Fibroids are described based on where in the uterus they are growing. There are three main types:

- Intramural fibroids grow within the muscle wall of the uterus.

- Subserosal fibroids grow outward from the uterus into the pelvic cavity.

- Submucosal, or intracavitary, fibroids grow into the uterus.

Submucosal fibroids are the rarest and most deadly of the three types. They grow just beneath the inner lining of the uterus hence, they often cause more bleeding problems than other types of fibroids. They may cause symptoms even when they are very small.

Submucosal fibroids are also the most likely to lead to pregnancy and fertility because the can occupy the uterine cavity.

Some of its common symptoms are heavy menstrual bleeding and long periods, severe anemia, bleeding in clots, back and pelvic pain, fatigue and dizziness.

Semen function analysis (SFA), also known as a s***m count test, is used to analyze the health and viability of a man's s***m. Semen is the fluid containing s***m (plus other sugar and protein substances) that’s released during ej*******on. A semen analysis measures three major factors of s***m health:

-the number of s***m
-the shape of the s***m
-the movement of the s***m, also known as “s***m motility”.

ELECTROCADIOGRAM (ECG)

An ECG test is done mainly to check the heart rate and rhythm. It records the electrical activity of the heart at rest. With an ECG report, your doctor can diagnose whether you have an enlarged heart due to high blood pressure or at risk of developing a heart attack. It can also show evidence of previous heart attacks.

The test is useful for persons with risk factors for heart diseases such as high blood pressure, heart pains, palpitations etc.. People without risk factors can also go for the test (though not very useful) as part of their routine check-up.

An echocardiogram test is one of the most comprehensive tests used to determine the function of the heart. It's an ultrasound that uses sound waves to produce images of the heart. This allows your doctor to see how your heart beats and pumps blood.

Echocardiography has become routinely used in the diagnosis, management, and follow-up of patients with any suspected or known heart diseases.

It can be used to diagnose the following;

- Cardiomegaly: The heart can be abnormally enlarged when one has a weak or damaged heart chambers, high blood pressure or other heart diseases.

- Cardiomyopathy: An echocardiogram generates measurements of the blood that is pumped by the heart to the various parts of the body. When the heart muscle weakens, its unable to pump enough blood to the rest of the body as well as it should. These can lead to irregular heart beat, heart failure, heart valve problems or any other heart complications.

-Ischemia: This results when the heart muscle gets inadequate oxygen or nutrients. An echocardiogram helps your doctor diagnose whether all parts of the heart muscles are functioning properly and receiving enough oxygen.

- Valve problems: Echocardiogram also helps to diagnose how open or close the heart valves are. The valves should be open wide enough for adequate blood flow or close to prevent blood leakage.

- Other heart defects: An echocardiogram can show other defects such as dextrocardia (abnormal position of the heart), problem with the heart chambers, defects. An echocardiogram can show problems with the heart chambers, abnormal connections between the heart and major blood vessels, and other related heart diseases.

An echocardiogram test does not have any major risk factors and it is recommended for both adults and children.
