well! folks i thought dis mite interest you since we are all in the noble profession. it was aired on the radio (peace FM) that the single spine salary structure government promise the health sector is in pipe line, ie. come July. this pronouncement was made after a meeting held in Accra which was well attended by members of the Ghana nurses' and midwifery Training Association.

Nurses' and Midwives Council must review their way of conducting exams and the awarding of certificate. rumors has it that they failed many student this year b'cos of the new salary structure (single spine salary structure). it added that government could not pay the many nurses plunging into the job market thus the decision to failed student.
