The commissioning of the brand new ultra modern digital x-ray for the Enchi Government Hospital took place today 04/03/2026.

The machine was donated by the Hon. Oscar Ofori Larbi, the MP for Aowin.

In attendance were the Coordinating Director of the Aowin Municipal Assembly who represented the MCE, Municipal Director of Health Services who also represented the Regional Director of Health Services, Head Pastor of the Pentecost Church, Head Pastor of The Presby Church, Principal of Enchi College of Education, Bank Manager of GCB Bank, staff from facilities in the Municipality, Member of the media, staff and management of the hospital.

The machine will go along way to assist clinician diagnose cases better and cut cost of the users of the facility who in the past, had to travel outside the municipality to get such services.

The supplier of the equipment explained how the machined work and the PPM arrangements.

God richly bless the Hon MP and open the doors for more stakeholders to assist the facility with such kind gestures

*Visit of the Paramount Chief of Aowin to Enchi Government Hospital on 31st December, 2025*

The Omanhene of the Aowin Traditional Council, Beyeeman Tano Kwaw Benbuin III visited the mothers at the Maternity Unit of the Enchi Government Hospital to settle outstanding bills the mothers had.

He used the opportunity to tour some of the wards and interact with staff at post. He thanked them for their services to the people of Aowin.

The Paramount Chief interacted with some clients on admission and wished them speedy recovery.

Being a champion of customer care in the banking industry before ascending the throne, he admonished staff to be empathetic, respectful, client centered and professional in their work. He advised all to pursue excellence in their work in order to attract more clients to the facility.

He encouraged the management to let the palace know of the hospital's needs though the place Secretary and the elders of the palace.

He promised to liaise with Sarmatex wood company to provide the hospital the needed wood materials to continue some ongoing renovations as well as ensure that the hospital lands are not encroached upon by any individuals for personal gains.

Beyeeman donated an undisclosed amount of money to offset the bills of mothers on admission and to support a vagrant client on the male ward.

The staff and management of the hospital expressed much gratitude to the Omanhene for the visit and pledged to continue the collaboration with the traditional authorities to improve on services rendered in the facility.

*Hon. Akandoh, Minister of Health visits Enchi Government Hospital on Christmas Day*

The Minister of Health Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, in the company of the WN Regional Minister Hon Wilbert Petty Brentum, Aowin Member of Paliament Hon Oscar Ofori Larbi and other MOH officers paid a Christmas visit to the Enchi Government Hospital today 25th Dec 2025.

The minister was welcomed by the Medical Superintendent Dr Emmanuel K. Coomson, management members and other staff at post in the facility.

The Hon Miniter was informed of the hospital's needs namely equipment replacements, old vehicles, large number of casual staff, challenge with inadequate work space, inadequate high caliber clinical staff and support staff.

The need for two new ultra modern hospitals for Aowin was also expressed to the Honorable Minister.

Being the largest in the region in terms of land size in the WNR, a new hospital for Enchi and another one in the Boino-Sewum enclave would be in order.

He toured the facility spending most time on the kids ward and NICU.

He donated an undisclosed amount to the staff on duty to appreciate their dedication to duty.

The Minister directed the Director for HR at the ministry to take details of the HR situation and equipment needs from the Medical Superintendent through the Regional Director of Health Services for immediate action.

The team wished all staff a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
