A case recently seen by one of our doctors from PT women’s clinic:
A 24-year-old woman who had a history of chronic pelvic pain and a feeling of a mass in her abdomen. Tests revealed an ovarian mass with low suspicion of cancer.

She underwent a fertility-sparing salpingo-oophorectomy, and the final diagnosis was a serous cystadenofibroma — a rare but benign ovarian tumor.

An ovarian tumor is an abnormal growth that develops in one or both ovaries. It can be benign (non‑cancerous) or malignant (cancerous).

We’re excited to share that she has fully recovered and is living her life to the fullest. 💛

If you or someone you know has similar symptoms, don’t ignore them.

Another successful myomectomy was recently completed at Poku Transport Hospital.

Uterine fibroids can significantly impact a woman's quality of life, causing heavy menstrual bleeding, severe abdominal pain, and even difficulty conceiving.

Our team performed a successful myomectomy on a 31-year-old lady who presented with similar symptoms. We removed over 20 fibroid nodules, including 2 large ones. Notably, our team's expertise and techniques ensured the patient did not require a blood transfusion during the extensive surgery.

The patient is recovering smoothly.

If you or someone you know is dealing with fibroid-related issues, book an appointment at our gynaecology clinic every Tuesday at 2 pm.
