There are a number of things to do in preparation for pregnancy. It’s important to think of pregnancy as not lasting just 9months. Devote some months to prepare before conception. Some experts suggest that you view pregnancy as lasting 12months. The additional 3months is used to prepare. You can choose to prepare for more than three months, in fact, live your life as if you are getting pregnant tomorrow.

Generally, you have to pay particular attention to your lifestyle including nutrition and exercise routine, medication/supplement intake, health problems and medical history, labs and test, previous contraceptive use, family history, compatibility with partner etc befor thinking about pregnancy.
In the next few posts, we will look at details of these.
