Juliana Anto, founder, Matron and chief executive officer of God’s Glory Hospital, is a member of Evangelical Baptist Church, Suame, together with her husband, Mr. Juliana Anto a General nursing and Midwife by profession was the chairman of the church’s Medical Committee and in the late 1980’s, single handedly attended to the health needs of the Church and the New Suame Community, helping especially in pregnancy, deliveries and general health cases. Over time as her sphere of influence grew, the community encouraged her to start a small clinic which she obliged and started in 1988 in a small room adjoining her small two- room apartment. As a full time worker at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), she could only handle health cases on a part time basis, administering first aid and treating common cases such as malaria, typhoid etc. In those formative years, her church and the community offered moral and spiritual support. Anto and her family moved from new Suame to their own premises at Kronum, where the clinic which had grown both in size and operation was now relocated. It was registered with the Private Hospitals and Maternity Homes Board as God’s Glory maternity Home on the 5th of December in the year 2005. Over the years, the hospital improved upon its facilities, expanding the structures and beefing up the staff, installing new equipments and furniture to cope with the growing needs of the hospital. In 2006, the hospital was given accreditation by the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and has since been operating as an NHIS accredited medical facility. Having expanded its ward facilities which now include a male medical ward, female medical ward, children’s ward male and female special wards, VIP ward, surgical block, recovery ward ,male surgical ward, female surgical ward and maternity block with comprises first stage room, second stage room and lying in ward. The hospital now has its own ultra sound scan equipment operated by highly trained and competent professionals. It also has a laboratory section and fully operational dispensary department with a large stock of assorted drugs in the store room. The next stage of its expansion drive was now building a new administration block and a conference hall in addition with a canteen for staff. Expansion of the physical structures is still ongoing, with the aim of increasing the number of lying-in wards and installing new machinery and equipment for a fully fledged operation theatre. Currently, the Hospital has two storey buildings; one is a four storey building while the other building is a three- storey building. The Clinic has been elevated to the status of a hospital since 2009. Current Services
