Acne, also known as pimples, is a common skin condition that many people experience at some point in their lives. It occurs when hair follicles become clogged with oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria, resulting in the formation of pimples, blackheads, or whiteheads.
Acne can be caused by various factors, including hormonal changes, excess oil production, certain medications, and even genetics. It often appears on the face, but can also affect the back, chest, and other areas of the body.
To manage and prevent acne, it's important to maintain a consistent skincare routine. This includes gently cleansing the skin twice a day, using non-comedogenic (non-pore-clogging) skincare products, and avoiding excessive scrubbing or picking at the pimples, as it can worsen inflammation and lead to scarring.
In addition to a good skincare routine, there are other steps you can take to help reduce the occurrence of acne. These include maintaining a healthy diet, avoiding excessive sun exposure, managing stress levels, and avoiding touching your face with dirty hands.
