We are raising a generation that is becoming far too comfortable belittling, , and tearing others down both in and behind screens on social media.
The painful truth is that many and caregivers are either unaware, in denial, or worse, turning a blind eye. But when a child is calling others horrific names, spreading rumours, or posting harmful comments online, that is not “just kids being kids.” That is bullying, and it causes real harm, such as poor concentration and reduced academic performance, anxiety, depression, chronic stress, social withdrawal, and loneliness.
Every child should walk into school without . Every person should open their phone without anxiety about what cruel message might be waiting.
This is why, under our Project, with the support and partnership of our funders and stakeholders, we are not working with young people alone; we are intentionally engaging and , creating the room for , reflection, and shared responsibility because schools alone cannot address bullying.
Parents must teach empathy, monitor online behavior, correct harmful actions, and model respect. Loving our children also means holding them accountable.
Change starts at home.
Let’s do better for our children. All of them.
