I write to introduce to you Tourist Volunteers,(www.touristvolunteers.com) a Volunteering Service Organization in Tamale , Ghana . We provide a service that has a lot to transform the lives of others and put unforgettable memories in volunteers and students lives. The tangible difference made by those extra pairs of hands is enormous and the level of progress that can be achieved is impressive. id For Life is a volunteer organisation offering international travelers the opportunity to learn about and contribute to non-western cultures through our specialised volunteer programs. Our participants give their time and share their skills and talents with local people from all walks of life. Our programs are about getting people outside of their comfort zones, seeing what’s out there in the universe, and making a meaningful contribution to some of its citizens, especially as Aid for life Volunteers helpers. We offer international travelers the opportunity to learn about and contribute to non-western cultures through volunteer programs, internships, and basic language study.

Our objectives are to build child survival centers in carefully identified communities to cater for homeless and motherless children for who the streets are their homes. We aim to seek educational scholarships for orphans and needy but brilliant students between the ages of 3-18 years, to provide medical and health programs in needy communities including family planning and HIV /AIDS and we are seeking to partner with other organisations to promote and up hold the dignity of the children irrespective of tribe, race, socioeconomic status and creed.

Urgently Needed
Aid for life volunteers are in urgent need of medical doctors, student doctors, nurses, operation assistants, public health workers and other health workers to volunteer in clinics and hospitals in remote villages where medical staff are severely lacking.

Most hospitals and clinics do not have enough doctors and nurses to help in the treatment of even minor illnesses which has led to the deaths among the youth in remote communities in the Northern part of Ghana. In some clinics there is only one nurse to care for many hundreds of patients; this without a qualified medical doctor.

This aspect of volunteering also provides an opportunity for student doctors to encounter more challenging sicknesses and therefore help them acquire more experience and broaden their scope in medicine. Aid for Life is urgently seeking health workers to volunteer in remote villages situated in the Northern and Upper Regions of Ghana where health worker availability is inadequate. Please help us to save lives by volunteering in the medical sector of Ghana.

Aid for Life Volunteers also welcomes donations of medical equipment and medicine from any institution abroad to help develop the infrastructural base of clinics and hospitals in remote villages.
