A week long intensive training on Community infant and young child feeding (C-IYCF) was organized for all Community Health Officers(CHOs) in the district. The training has equipped health workers skills to counsel care givers using counselling cards to improve the overall nutritional status of infants and young children in the district.

Training of community-based agents (CBAs) on and other notifiable diseases was organized for these volunteers to strengthen early case detection and management of uncomplicated malaria and prompt referral of severe malaria cases to referral health facilities using standard protocols. A total of 30 CBAs were trained interspersed with role plays.
