Movement Collective Who?

Hello! I’m Zoe Bishop, founder of The Movement Collective Gibraltar. I am a professionally trained Contemporary dancer and registered Yoga teacher. I studied at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and later obtained an MA Dance Performance from Chichester University. After a year of freelancing in London as both a performer and choreographer, I travelled to Goa, India to complete my Yoga training at Himalaya Yoga Valley Centre. Yoga soon became another integral part of my life, not only as part of my work as a teacher in UK, but as a means of maintaining a healthy lifestyle mentally and physically. As an arts enthusiast, I have a passion for movement as well as all things creative.

I recently re-located to Gibraltar and have begun to teach dance locally. However, I wanted to create an ideal situation in which I could put to good use my background in movement training, with a yoga focus, but also incorporating my love of the arts. And thus The Movement Collective was born.

With well-being at the heart of my ethos, The Movement Collective aims to promote fitness, mindfulness, creativity and expression through various classes, workshops and group activities. In today’s ever progressing digital society, we are required to move less, play less and interact less. Our time to physically ‘check-in’ with our bodies is limited in our fast-paced lives, where we are expected to be here, online and everywhere in-between. Through exercise, mindful practices and arts and crafts, The Movement Collective aims to encourage people of all ages to engage in the now, improving physical and mental health. Classes beginning October 1st - Watch this space!
