In June there were 12,818 GP appointments with a did not attend (DNA) rate of 3.3% (418 Appointments).

Within the last 12 months there were a total of 152,396 GP appointments. This is an increase of 2.8% compared to the previous 12 months.

The did not attend (DNA) rate for advanced GP appointments in May is extremely high at 9.3%

The A&E Department saw 2,659 attendances in June 2025, with 1,189 (44.7%) categorized as non-emergency attendances.

We can all help to ease the pressure on our emergency services by only visiting A&E with the most serious and life-threatening injuries or illnesses. Please click the link below for non-emergency alternatives to A&E.

The GHA welcomes the second group of A Level Students to begin their placements. These aspiring Nurses and Allied Health Professionals will be gaining valuable hands-on experience from our dedicated Staff.

The GHA A-Level Student Placement Programme has began with the induction of the first cohort. These students will undertake one to two-week placements in the Medical Field and they are scheduled to be undertaken throughout the summer months.

These placements will offer valuable clinical experience, helping students develop practical skills and strengthen their university applications. A testament to the GHA’s commitment to investing in our future Healthcare Workforce.
