“For those wondering about my journey and how Ayurvedic Yoga Massage found me—here’s My Story.”
Sean Rodriguez – Ayurvedic Yoga Massage
My Story
As a teenager, I began bodybuilding. I was originally very skinny, and training gave me a massive boost in self-confidence and self-esteem. It quickly became my dedicated, focused time—an outlet where I could leave all my worries at the door and immerse myself in the discipline of movement. Alongside bodybuilding, I trained in mixed martial arts, which helped develop my physique and further deepened my fascination with the human body.
I became obsessed with how the body moves—the muscles involved in contraction, coordination, and performance—and what it needs to fuel recovery and stay strong. This passion led me to pursue studies in Biology, Business, and Spanish, followed by a BSc degree in Sport, Exercise, and Nutrition at Northumbria University. There, I learned the fundamentals of recovery, injury management, postural correction, and rehabilitation for common issues like back and shoulder pain. I also gained deeper insight into nutrition for performance and healing.
At the same time, my passion for dance flourished. I spent countless hours in studios learning street dance, body popping, and freestyle movement. I later took part in dance competitions across the UK and Scotland, further blending my academic training with embodied movement. I noticed a beautiful link between body popping and bodybuilding—both required an intense mind-to-muscle connection, isolating specific joints and muscles with precision, focus, and intention.
However, after over five years of consistent weight training (4–5 times a week), I began to feel the toll on my joints and mobility. My body felt tight, and I lacked the fluidity I once had. To restore balance, I began a more holistic practice—yoga, stretching, self-massage, foam rolling, calisthenics, and bodyweight movement. These practices didn’t just restore my mobility; they also centered my mind and helped me manage stress, anxiety, and emotions.
This journey led me deeper into the mind itself—through seated and walking meditation and the study of The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, which became a guiding philosophy in my life. As I grew inwardly, I also discovered a natural gift in my hands: massage. Whether at home, gatherings, or while traveling, I found joy in offering physical touch to release tension, pain, and stress from others—an instinctive and heartfelt way to care for people.
Longing to deepen this gift, I trained in Ayurvedic Yoga Massage in London—an ancient, 5000-year-old system that blends deep tissue Ayurvedic oil massage with Thai-style assisted yoga stretching. This method resonated with me on every level. It unified everything I had explored over the years: body awareness from bodybuilding, movement intelligence from dance and yoga, postural correction from fitness training, and emotional presence through meditation.
What Makes My Work Unique
Over the past seven years working in Gibraltar and Spain, I’ve helped people release pain, stress, and postural tension across all areas of the body—from the neck and shoulders to the hips, knees, and spine. I draw from a rich toolbox of modalities:
Muscle knowledge from bodybuilding
Movement and flow from dance and yoga
Strength and posture correction from personal training
Stillness and deep listening from meditation
My treatments are fully tailored, rooted in conscious touch, deep presence, and intuitive listening. I offer a therapeutic experience that doesn't just relieve physical pain but supports the whole being—mentally, emotionally, and energetically.
Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is a powerful blend of:
Deep tissue oil massage
Thai-inspired stretches and mobilisations

It’s not just a massage—it’s an art form. A sculpting of the body’s natural structure through intentional pressure, breath, movement, and connection.
